I don’t know why people consider raisins healthy. They have 30 grams of sugar for a 1 1/2 ounce box. Isn’t that like three cans of coke?

the fat in nuts are the “good” kind of fat..your body needs a certain amount of fat and calories per day.

tip: besides selleri, which she mentioned, its good to eat broccoli too because your stomach burns more calories digesting it than what the vegetable contains.

Or cottage cheese, which is incredibly rich in protein. But yes, cheddar/mozzarella are not the best dairy health-wise.

Peanut Butter has SO many calories for a small ammount… I wouldn’t waste my calories on something I don’t like much..

cheese digests very slowly and causes bloating, and you dont burn more “calories by chewing the celery than you recieve from the celery”.by chewing you only burn the same amount of calories in a stick of sugarless gum.
dont beleive me? look in a nutrition book. i have 1

So is it OK 2 drink (V8 drinks) instead of eating raw vegetables, will it still be the same?

  16. weechampion on Sat, 30th May 2009 7:56 pm

No.Its simply a block of flavoured fat. Low fat cottage cheese (possibly flavoured with some pineapple or tangy herbs) on rice cakes/oat cakes/ rivita etc is a healthy snack.

I never really thought about planning ahead when snacking in order to choose more healthy foods. This helps with different ideas that seem good for everyone.
